HGTV Green Home in Port Lucie, Florida

Have you checked out HGTV's Green Home 2009 yet? It's in Port Lucie, Florida, this year. I have to say I wasn't crazy about it, but there were some things I really liked. The back porch, for example. I'd be taking naps out there all the time! "Where's Mom?" "Check the back porch. She probably fell asleep on that little bed again."

I like the color of the master bedroom, but doesn't it look a little small for two?

For more photos from the Green Home and see how people are voting in a poll I'm taking about it, click here. Register to win the sweepstakes from HGTV. Or check out last year's Green Home '08, which I personally loved.

P.S. Thanks for all of the nice birthday wishes you left for me on my Facebook page and on my other blog today! They made me smile. :-)

  1. I'm lovin' it! Couldn't GET or pay for the homeowner's insurance I'm sure! Not to mention the taxes! I think State Farm is the ONLY company that is writing new policies in Florida and they will only do so for their current customers! Tell me if I'm wrong...

  4. I love this house too. I love their use of tiles in all the bathrooms and kitchen - we have those same kind of tiles in our guest bath. Man, they were a pain to hang!

  5. My mom and I went to see it (pretty close to us) but there was a not so friendly looking guard at the door. No dice. I don't love the community it is in.

  6. The Master BR does look small. I love sleeping in a king size bed. DH and I could not get use to a Full Size bed. So the side tables would have to go in order to accomadate a larger bed.

  7. was there a white orchid sale? (Sorry sarcasm again but 4 orchids in 3 pics? Someone needs to have a word with the stylist...)

  8. I love every thing about this home the colors, the orchids, even the small uncomplicated rooms and the porch would be my quiet place of reflection.
