Welcome to my beachy cottage fantasy! You may already know me from my main site, Hooked on Houses. My dream is to someday live in a cottage by the beach--but in the meantime, I'm going to live vicariously through Beach Cottage Love. If I find a beautiful home near the water somewhere in the world, then I'll be featuring it here. I hope you'll come along and dream big (and beachy) with me!

Hi Julia, I like your new blog! I also like the beach style of decorating. It reminds me also of the Scandinavian style that I love so much. Becki
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...great idea, Julia! I will be dreaming right along with you!

I LOVE beachy. I live nowhere near a beach and chances are I never will so I have chosen to do what I can to make my home have that laid back look that I LOVE. Although my husband thinks I'm making a HUGE mistake. So, I would really appreciate your view on this. Can a non water home get away with that beachy look? AND if it can, do you think white trimwork is a better choice than cream?
ReplyDeleteThis is my dream too. I SO want to live by the water someday. It could be a log cabin in the woods on a lake or a cottage on a beach -- as long as I can walk out my front door and jump into the water :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture -- the chandelier is amazing!!

Beautiful new blog, Julia. I love the beach cottaage style as well. I'll be stopping by for a nice, relaxing getaway now and then!
ReplyDeleteYay Julia! I am thrilled you started a blog about beach cottages! Will you have blog parties here too? I love hooked on fridays...can't wait to see what you come up with!!
ReplyDeleteBlue and white and sand all over! YESSS! I realise it is a bit of a fantasy, and that you still have to do the laundry, dishes, shopping, ironing etc.. but it is my fantasy.
ReplyDeleteLike Suzann, my husband thinks I am mad :(
many thanks
