Dreaming of Blue & White & Sand All Over
I kept reversing the DVD, and going back over shots of the house. I did the same thing with Father Of The Bride, both movies.
This is the best house *ever* :)
I bought the movie just to look at the house over and over again. Heck- I even bought the soundtrack, lol!
Oh I do!! I bought the movie because of the gorgeous house. Thanks for sharing.
This set was talked about over and over in school. Nice educated post.
I agree with Ms. Tee...it is the best house ever! I went out and tried to find pasta bowls like the ones used in the scene at the beginning of the movie...I love this movie. Great post and thanks for sharing.Smiles ~ Ramona
Truly my all time favorite.
This is one of my all time favorite movie/TV homes!
My husband said the outside looks like Katie Couric's Hampton Beach House. Have you showed hers yet over the past year???Just a thought... Suzy
I'm so glad you posted this house from Somethings Gotta Give, it's my all time favorite house, I just love it. Thanks Julia.

Anon--I not only have tons of photos of The Holiday, but of many other fabulous movie houses over at my other blog, Hooked on Houses, as well. Check out the page where I link to them all:http://hookedonhouses.net/houses-onscreen/-Julia :-)
Hi, this is a bit of a long shot, but there are two paintings that I noticed in this house in the film, one I think was of a deck chair and the other was a swimmer in a black swimming cap, they looked similar in style so I'm assuming that they would be by the same artist, they also looked like they might be from around the 1920's or atleast painted in that style. If you or anyone you could put me in touch with might know who they are by or if I could get copies I would be grateful . Thanks
I'm so glad you stopped by. Kick off your flip-flops and stay awhile! ~Julia :-)
